Jammies at the moment is a lost Founder so this was posted by Daytona Beach H3:- I have to give the credit for these four great bits of hash wisdoms to Jammies, who told them to me before my first hash. These four bits wisdoms have held true so many times, that I can't help but think that it should be passed on to other hashers. So here is the best four hash wisdoms that I ever heard about what to bring or wear (and not to bring or not to wear) on a hash. It's about all the wisdom you'll even need while hashing, summed up into 2 always and 2 nevers. Always bring a sense of humor and a smile to the hash. (This is fun and you are here to have tons of it, so leave all your worries and whinning elsewhere.) Always bring a dry bag. (This is just like a gym bag with a complete change of clothes. Don't forget dry socks or shoes and sometimes a towel is very handy too. This is just in case you get wet or muddy out on trail and need a change of clothes, or warmer clothes, at the ending to be comfortable.) NEVER EVER wear new shoes (or even ones that look new. Don't ever forget this one!!! If you do forget it once, you will remember it for a long long time.) Never wear or bring anything hashing with you that would upset you if you either lost or ruined or broke it. (In other words, think old play clothes, because you just might get mud stains and/or even rip clothes on scrubs or tree branches while on trail. Plus if you either break or lose your brand new expensive cellphone on trail, then it's your own fault for taking it on trail to begin with. This might not happen often, but the first time it does, you might also break the first hash wisdom above ... remember this is for fun, so just leave your worries elsewhere.)
